Your frustrations stay yours.

Who we are

Smithers Solutions Inc. (“Smithers”, “we”) operates smithers.app and the guides under /resources. We are located at 5156 Jarry Est, Saint-Léonard, QC H1R 1Y4, Canada.

We follow Canadian privacy law, including PIPEDA and Quebec's Law 25.

What we collect

• Contact form — the name, email, and message you enter, plus the referral context your browser provides (how you reached us). This is emailed to us so we can reply. It is not stored anywhere else.
• Usage events — page views, guide views, and clicks on email or phone links, with the page path and a referral category. Each visit gets a random session ID kept in your browser's session storage.
• Your preference — your language choice (EN or FR) is saved in your browser so the site remembers it.

What stays with you

Worksheet notes and calculator inputs never leave your browser page. They are not uploaded to Smithers and are not included in any usage event.

What we never do

• No advertising cookies and no cross-site trackers.
• No third-party analytics or profiling services.
• No selling, renting, or sharing of your information. Ever.

Your choices

• We honor Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control — if either is on, usage measurement is disabled entirely.
• Clear your browser storage and everything we kept locally is gone.
• You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.

How long we keep it

Contact emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and our follow-up. Usage event logs are kept for a limited period set by our hosting, and we look at them in aggregate — we don't build profiles of individual visitors.

Changes to this policy

If something here changes, we update this page and the effective date above. The version you are reading always reflects how the site works today.
